How does Ösel Signage work?

Our platform connects your display screens through a ADB device to a secure cloud CMS, where you can upload, schedule, and control your content in real-time from any device.

Do I need special hardware to use Ösel Signage?

You can use any compatible media player, Android box, or smart display that supports our CMS player app.

Can I manage multiple screens from one account?

Yes, the Ösel Signage dashboard lets you control unlimited screens from a single login.

What type of content can I display?

You can display videos, images, scrolling text, live web pages, social feeds, and more.

Is internet required to run the signage?

Internet is required for setup and content updates. Once downloaded, scheduled content can play offline.

Can I schedule different content for different locations?

Yes, you can assign playlists and schedules to specific screens, groups, or locations.

Does Ösel Signage offer custom templates or layouts?

Yes, we provide pre-built templates and allow full custom layout creation.

How often can I update my content?

You can update and publish new content instantly, anytime, from the Media.

How do I get started?

Simply create your account using your E-mail and Phone number, sign up on our website, connect your screen player, and start managing your content in minutes.

My screen shows “Device Offline.” What should I do?

Verify the network connection (Wi-Fi or LAN). Restart the device. If still offline, check the CMS dashboard’s last sync time — if it’s over 10 minutes old, re-check the player Wi-Fi.

Why is my screen not showing any content?

Ensure the player device is powered on, connected to the internet, and registered under your Ösel Signage account. Also, check if a valid playlist is assigned to that screen.

Content is not updating even after publishing — why?

Check that your player is online and has enough storage space. Also, confirm that your schedule time and time zone settings are correct.

How do I register a new player device?

Login the Ösel Signage Player Website → Open it → Copy the device code → Enter it in the CMS dashboard under “Add Device.”

My videos are lagging or not playing smoothly.

Use optimized video formats (MP4, H.264) and resolutions matching your screen. Avoid 4K files on low-end players. Ensure your device has enough RAM and stable network bandwidth.

The screen orientation is wrong (vertical instead of horizontal). How do I fix it?

In the CMS template settings, select the correct orientation (portrait or landscape) or while adding a custom screen make sure the correct screen resolution is added in W x H format. Then save the template to apply the changes.

How can I monitor if my screens are playing the correct content?

Use the CMS dashboard’s “Playback Log” or “Preview” option to verify the active playlist, last update time, and currently displayed content.

Can I remotely restart or shut down a device?

Yes, if remote control is enabled, you can restart or power off a player from the CMS dashboard with Ösel PDU attached.

The layout appears distorted or cropped.

Check the display’s resolution setting in both the device and CMS layout. Match the aspect ratio (e.g., 1920x1080).

How can I generate logs for support?

In the player website, open “Report” → Tap “Player Summary.” Select the Player and the Date  “Download CSV.” You can download the Log in a CVS file with all the essential details in it.
